Poetry and Rhyming isn't for everyone.
People have been writing poetry with rhyming and without, but what does rhyming do for the piece and is it really needed?
Rhyming adds flow to many pieces and gives it an easier read for the reader but rhyming can also hinder how the poem actually feels. What I'm trying to say is not all the best words and descriptions are chosen do to the limitations caused by trying to find a word that rhymes.
Now a poem without rhyming has many opportunities to be described and in essence the descriptions are usually more thought about and feeling is heightened. No the poem will not have as good a flow when read a loud but then when it comes down to it you ll see it is better to have more feeling within the words.
Readers who are less educated, those who rarely ever read tend to find that rhyming is better for them. Those who are highly educated look for a more deeper read that may have several different views or may be more thought provoking or challenging. These poems are usually well written and thought about and some writers often take hours, days or even weeks to write these type of poems.
